Oh how I wish we were back in the days when Instagram was primarily an image-sharing platform. But since social media apps like TikTok have risen in popularity, Instagram has evolved to keep up and now it feels like video content is the only thing that will get you seen. So where does that leave us as photographers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an elopement photographer, personally, I feel really uncomfortable getting my phone out to create content when I’m capturing a client’s elopement. It’s their private day and I always want to respect that. Sometimes I’ll grab one or two behind-the-scenes clips that I can use for social media after I’ve delivered their images, but most of the time, my phone is in my bag all day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the demand for video content continues to soar on social media, it’s not a question of should we be making reels anymore, but rather how can we do it efficiently, especially if we are still primarily wanting to share photos and not video content.
